: " Borelians to present 3-act play 'The Curious Savage' "The Curious Savage," a three-act comedy will be presented by the Borelians theatre group February 23, 24 and 25 at Town Hall, 1873. Written in 1951 by John Patrick, the play examines the subject of madness, and revolves around members of the Savage family who are trying to have their mother "put away." Emmie Cox,. who is dir- ecting the production, said in a brief interview last week that the ending of the play is very dramatic and will surprise the audience. This is the first venture into directing by Mrs. Cox, but her background as a professional singer for tele- vision and the stage gives her the qualifications for the job. Church By Betty Deeth On Sunday, February 5, 1978, the congregation of Prince Albert United Church was led in a service of dedication of a new organ by Reverend R. G. Brawn. Manchester 4-H by Anne Lamb On Monday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. the Manchester 4-H club met in Epsom Church. At present our membership is 18. The large choir sang Holy is The Lord by Franz Schubert, Glory to the King of Kings, O For a Thousand Tongues to Sin (Psalm 9), I Love to Tell the Story, and God's Love Will Lean (Noel Ben- son). Guest soloists were Norman Watson and Bob Cawker. Mr. Watson sang "The King of Love My Shepherd Is" by Charles Gounod; and Mr. Cawker played on his saxaphone the lovely, 'Sweet Peace, The Gift of God's Love', both accompanied by Mrs. Hunter. The church was filled as young and old entered into the spirit of true Thanks- giving via the specially pre- pared service of music and praise. The young voices of the junior choir sang the offertory anthem, "Praise with appropriate In his.sermon, Mr. Brawn mentioned that the organ is a very fitting instrument for the church, as it is a symbol of the many instruments mentioned in the Bible and it is made up of many voices. Upon the retirement of the Organ Fund, it is plan- ned to continue with a Memorial Fund for the Church. A special Book of Rememberance containing the names, in whose memory donations were given, was on-display. Lunch was served after the service by the Choir and Organ Committee. The Prince Albert Church has much historical signifi- cance, in the community: Centennial celebrations were held at the church in 1966. This United Church serves an increasing popul- ation with many new homes being built in Prince Albert.
