The Seagrave Greenbank World Day of Prayer will be held at the Seagrave United Church this Friday, March 3 at2 p.m. The speaker will be Shirley Brawn of Port Perry. Nursery service will be pro- vided. Unit I of the U.C.W. held their meeting Monday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Keen." Feedback from this meeting will be in Saturday, March 4th next week's news. The Board of Stewards will hold their meeting on Mon- day, March 6 at 8 p.m. in the Church. A meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary of Scouting will be held tonight, March 1 at8 p.m. at the home of Elaine Willerton. The meeting will be centered around a discus- sion of upcoming banquets. Baha'i Open House The Baha'is of Scugog Township and area are hold- ing an "Open House" this coming Saturday, March 4th at Town Hall 1873, to enable the residents of Scugog Township to become ac- quainted with the aims and principles of 'Faith. Displays showing the Baha'i World Centre and Baha'i Houses of Worship on all five continents will be exhibited at the "Open House". Other displays in- clude the Baha'is in associa- tion with the United Nations, a collection of dolls from around the world and a slide presentation. The entertainment will be provided by three musicians in the afternoon and evening. Don McCrae, a marine biologist who taught at Lake- field Boys School last year and an accomplished pianist and songwriter will perform. _ Joy Schmalenberg, a nurs- ery school teacher from Ajax and Bruce Gazeley, a student of Media Arts at Sheridan College will each perform their own compsi- tions on guitar. A birthday party was held last Wednesday in honour of Melody Anne Somerville's 7th birthday. Little Sara Wanamaker spent Sunday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wanamaker. Mrs. Beth Newman and family spent Saturday visit- ing Beth's sister, Pat Fisher and her family. Then on Sunday, Pat's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Venner, spent an enjoy- able day at the Fishers. Weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. Reta Boe included Mr. and Mrs. Carl _ Boe from Kingston, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie McEnaney along with Sean and Carly from Blacstock, Mrs. Faye Dowson of Port Perry and Mr. Wayne Dowson and friend. Skating at the old arena for the Seagrave community will carry on for a few more Saturdays. It would certain- ly be nice to see more Sea- - grave people take advantage of this ice time (4 - 5 p.m.) for a very nominal fee.
