[See picture on page 13.] Block parents The formation of a Block Parents Organization in Blackstock moved a big step closer to reality May 3 when more than 50 concerned parents attended a meeting at the public school in that community. Clay Shaver of Blackstock, _ who was instrumental in ¥ setting up the public meet- ing, told the Star last week that those present voted unanimously in favour of the organization. On Thursday evening, team members will congre- gate at Port Perry High School for a pre-registration in the cafeteria so the teams will know the rules, receive numbers and get an outline of the new course. A spokesman for the OPP Whitby detachment said the car, a two-door Pontiac Parisienne, maroon in colour with licence MVW 151, was stolen from the" service department of the building. Thieves gained entry to the building through a second floor window, and also made off with two elec- tric calculators. In addition, two column speakers and an amplifier in the trunk of the stolen / car are reported missing. The break-in and thefts were discovered early Mon- day morning.
