A very special thank you to Joan Lee and the choir for their musical contribution to our church service. You folks deserve a lot of credit. Our birthday box visitors this week were Marion Dur- ward, Joan and Lorna Dur- ward and Heyward Short. Happy Birthday to all of you. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Nixon presented their sweet little daughter, Shely Lynn, to be christened. There will be a practice for the children for the next two weeks on Wednesday after school and also a practice after Sunday School next week. That will be Wed., 17th and 24th, and Sunday, the 20th. Please remember the meeting on Thursday, May 18th, for concerned parents of the scouting organization in-the Greenbank district. This is a very important meeting and there also will an election of, officers. Please plan to attend - our kids need our support. The meeting is at the Port Perry Scout Hall. 1st Seagrave Beavers would like to thank everyone who helped make the Beaveree such a success. Please bring your money for the Father & Son Banquet on Thursday May 18, as that is our last meeting for the year. Thank you to everyone who helped us throughout another successful year. Have a nice, safe summer holiday, Beavers, and we will see you all in the fall. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Adams who celebrated their 10th Anni- versary, May 11. Congratulations to Mrs. Debbie Goreski who cele- brated her birthday, May 12. Mr. and Mrs. Heywood Short were entertained at Conway Gardens for Mother's Day by their family. Each lady received arose. Those present were Ken and Marion Short, Jack and Ona Short and family, Gordon and Linda and family, and Larry and Elaine Short and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bert-Wana- maker weekend guests were Ed and Helen Mitchell from Camebridge, Galt. On Sun- day, Ron, Leona and family, Neil and Donna and family, and Bill, Sharon and family, dropped in for a Mother's Day visit. Mr. and Mrs. John Tobin celebrated their 40th anni- versary on Sunday and held an open house at the church for friends and relatives. Our best wishes are extend- ed to this happy couple. On Thursday evening, the choir also had a surprise for Fern after choir practice. Mother's Day visitors for Mrs. Reta Boe were Mr. and Mrs. Bernie McEnaney, Sean and Carly, Blackstock, Mr. Wayne Dowson, Faye Dowson and Norma Vivian from Oshawa.
