Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van Camp spent June 11 to June 15 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Van Camp, Jane and David in Ancaster. Tuesday evening the Senior Citizens gathered at the Community Hall for the weekly Card Party, there were twenty-two tables: 1- Anne Manns-84; 2-Effie Ploughman-80; 3-Mertle Wagoner-78: 4-Effel Forder- 78. 5-Burt Gibson-78; 6-Mar- garet Bauchem-78 and low Muriel Lawrence. Mr. and Mrs. Harry van Camp and Mr. and Mrs. Dowson spent Father's Day at the Scugog Island cottage of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Camp where they also celebrated two birthdays and an anniver- sary. At the present time Mr. and Mrs. Bill Van Camp are residing at the cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Werry and Joy enjoyed a Father's Day Barbeque with Mr. and Mrs. Neil Bailey, Howard and Tara Lynne on Sunday evening at their cottage at View Lake. Joanne Russell, Dana and Kyle enjoyed the past week visiting members of the Russell and Bondy families in Windsor, Don Russell joined his family on Thurs- day night to complete the remainder of the week. Beth Schryburt, Vicki, Joel, and Arthur had a tre- mendolis time on Stimson Road in Davidson, Michigan where they joined several Stimson family members in welcoming home Jamie from the Army in Germany and Danny from the Air Force in California, home on leave. Larry travelled to Windsor on Thursday eve- ning with Don Russell and then on to Davidson where they spent the rest of the week and shared Sunday dinner with his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ron- ald Mayer in Sarnia. All of the classes at Cart- wright Central Public School took part in silly games and crowd at the United Church in Blackstock with a 'Piano Recital." Guest vocalist and artist, Mary Holt, performed several selections at the reci- tal. Trophies won at the Sunderland Music Festival were on display: Erik Kieze- brink, Angela Kiezebrink, Yvonne Fennema, and Alan Ferguson, (who also won the ORMTA Scholarship for Grade 8 to Associateship). Students performing were: Beginner-Marion Johnston, Grade 2-Tara Bailey, Natalie Green, Jason Kyte, and Tracy Staniland, Grade 8- Patricia Sleep, Caroline Car- naghan, and Alan Ferguson, Grade 1- Dianna Baumchen, Crissy Bedome, David Van- denheuvel, Debra Vine, Grade 7- Angela Kiezebrink, Carla Adams, Karen Dyte, Cathy Paisley, Grade 3- and Lori Cole. Anne-Marie Hoogeveen performed on the organ. Sunday the Hoskin Clan, at least 70, attended a gather- ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Graham on Purple Hill. The annual Larmer Re- union was held at Poplar Park on Sunday, June 18th. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Mac- kie and boys attended the marriage ceremonies of Mary's cousin, Cathy Pas- sant to Thomas Stout, on June 17th in Bowmanville. After an enjoyable game of Volleyball at Cartwright Central Public School Gym, 0.N.O. met at Sharon Wil- son's with one visitor and sixteen members (including one proud grandmother!!).
