We have an average of 28 children a day. We were all quite busy the third week planning for the art show. The children made such things as' paper bag puppers, dolls made from Javex bottles and styrofoam bugs. They were also busy baking cupcakes and ice cream cone cakes. } The Puppet Show was a big hit with the children. 27 - children from Caesarea attended the show thanks to our volunteer olin fBlueberries for Sal" and "Ringtail"' were enjoyed by the children followed by a _ game of volleyball at Putsey Park. They also had cakes and last Friday afternoon as the kids from Caesarea cookies for anyone who feft a little hungry. Te Blackstock playground by Deb McLaughlin There's never a dull moment at the Blackstock: Playground - that's for sure! On Monday we all puddled around in big tubs of water to escape the heat. We water painted the school, the side- walk and of course - each other. Yuck! Last Tuesday we had Trevor and Gari Oke's, dad for a special visitor. MrjQke is a fireman of the Whithy Fire Departn.~nt. It was a long and exhausting walk but it was well worth the effort. The children were entertained with pony rides (thanks to dear old gypsy) an apple orchard to climb in, baby pigeons, pigs, cows, calves, a dog, and eight baby kittens (Jill is willing to give away some kittens to a good home). Thursday morning we® watched films and in the afternoon we went for a refreshing dip in Tamara's pool. A special thank you to Tamara and her' parents for inviting us and also a thank- you to the neighbours who helped us swim. The cookies and freshie were yummy too!
