According to police the two were spotted about noon driving in an erratic manner across the Highway 7A causeway. When stopped and questioned by police, one ®iried to hide under a car and ® the other fled behind the Port Perry Plaza. The first youth was appre- hended immediately, and the second hid for a time on the roof of the Canadian Tire Store. He was then seen running. into the swamp behind the store where police finally caught up to him. The mishaps occured around the noon hour on Saturday. In the first, Gordon Stevens of Agincourt allegedly attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 12 at the traffic lights in Manches-, three men accident on Highway 7A involving a car and a tow truck. According to a police spokesman, Santino Sisto, 40, of Downsview was dri- ving east on Highway 7A and attempted to make a left turn off the highway. The tow truck hit a car driven by 22-year old Robert Graham of Peterborough who was taken to Port Perry ter and struck a westbound hospital with serious in- vehicle driven by Marcel Roche of Pickering. Total damage to both vehicles is estimated by police at $800 and both drivers were treated at hos- pital. Stevens has been charged by police with making an improper left turn.
