The Seniors were narrowly defeated 24-19. Team cap- tain Leslie Forder led Port Perry scoring with eight points. Jane Staples was the highest scorer for Clarke. The junior game was not as close as Port was beaten 31-19 by the visitors who were aided by the fourteen point outburst of Heather Sawyer. Kelly Owen was the leader for the home team with six points. Controversy arose in the game as Port Perry was twice penalized for time delay. An irate Roy Clark, the Junior's coach, argued loudly with the officials, demanding to see a rule book. Afterwards Clark felt the reason his team had lost was that they had missed scoring opportunities. "We didn't shoot well, but we didn't play too badly," he said. Both teams will have a chance for revenge this week as they meet Donevan.
