Last Sunday, October 15th Miss Dorothy Bulmer, Deaconess at Sonya and Nestleton conducted the ser- vice. The subject of her sermon was "the church" and a quartette, Miss Chris- - sie Simpson, Mrs. W. Hop- kins, Mr. Harold Fisher and Mr. Hugh Knight sang, "Gods Grace. Next Sunday there is to be a special Rally day service when the church school children and adults will be taking part in the service of worship. Everyone is espe- cially welcome. The ladies Bible Class met last Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. W. Davis with a good attendance. The President Mrs. Douglas Ash- ton opened the meeting with a beautiful Thanksgiving prayer and meditation. Mrs. S. McEntyre had charge of COMPTON CABLE T.V. A review period was held after the film to help us under- stand the film better. The next meeting will take the form of a visit to Port Perry Community Nursing home. The Community Centre sponsored a very pleasant. coffee hour last Wednesday morning. This coffee hour is an excellent chance to visit with our neighbours and also get to know the new ladies in the area, that have the time to attend. This time there was an extra treat when Lois Worden, supervisor of Dur- ham Region Childrens Aid Society and Co-ordinator for Volunteers was present and gave an informal talk and answered questions which was very helpful and interes- ting.
