Commencement Exercises Port Perry High School held their annual Com- mencement Exercises last Friday evening and a capa- city crowd: filled the audi- torium for the programme. The high school Senior Wind Ensemble entertained the audience, and led in the singing of the national anthem. Rev. Robert Brawn read the invocation before Mr. Doug Williams, princie pal, and Mr, Gordon Goode, local member of the Durham Board of Education addres- sed the students and guests. It was a busy evening for the organizers as dozens of diplomas, scholarships and awards were presented to the students, A list of some ¢ of the award winners are elsewhere on this page. The year's valedictory address was given by Derek Baker, and when he finished he was presented the Vale- dictorian Trophy by Kathy Smith.
