The Oddfellows Warriner Lodge in Port Perry held the annual Grand Master Banquet Saturday evening with Grand Master Harry Noels and his wife Marion from Forrest, Ontario in attendance. Before return- ing home they called on Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Houghland- of Oshawa to visit the new baby, then back to Whitby to enjoy supper with Bruce's parents Mr. and Mrs. E. Houghland. At 11:30 next Sunday there will be a White Gift Service at Epsom Church. There will be no regular Sunday School as the children will participate in the service. Any gift that is not perish- able will be accepted. We have one single bed for the family the U.C.W. assists but still require another and bedding. We have several birthday people celebrating. Gavin McCallum and Tom Hansen have reached the 18th mile- stone. The Hansen brothers and sisters and friends met at his home on Saturday to celebrate Tom's birthday. On Sunday, Mrs. Lyons entertained all her children and grandchildren in honour of her birthday. Many happy returns. Mr. and Mrs. G. Jeffery attended the pre-Christmas Turkey dinner at Goodwood on Sunday. This annual dinner for Senior Citizens is sponsored by the L.O.B.A. of Goodwood. On Saturday evening the Couples Club entertained anyone in the community who cared to come with a Pot Luck dinner at Epsom Church. Those who attended had a marvellous time. Mr. Leon Lefebvre is in Scarborough General Hospi- tal for an eye operation. We wish him a speedy recovery and a successful recovery.
