Novice win lopsided game by Bonnie Solomon The Port Mersco Novice All-Stars travelled to Sun- derland Tuesday November 21 to trounce the Sunderland team 13-2. Needless to say the game was very one-sided and with such high scoring the excitement of our pre- vious games was missing. John Lally was the high scorer of the game with seven goals. Ronnie Craw- ford was credited with a hat trick and singles going to Warren Geer, Michael Sorley, Robbie Brown. As- sists were credited to Rob Crawford, Warren Geer and Bradley Traves. On Friday, Sunderland was to play a return engage- ment but it seems there was some lack of communication which resulted in their ab- sence on the ice. But the fans were not to be disappointed for a game was played. The game that was played tickled your funnybone, gave you a sense of admiration and confidence in our youth of today. 0 A sincere and hearty thanks is to be given to Mr. Bob Lee and his Pee Wee House League who gave of their time for our little lads and displayed fine skating, by Scott Sandison C&B-4 Troski's - 1 The scoring started at the 11:35 mark by C & B's Mark Lee, assisted by Doug Chris- tie. C & B followed -up by scoring three by Ron Red- man, assisted by Bill St. John, Rob Evan unassisted and Doug Christie from, Mark Lee. Troski were not to be skunked as they scored in the remaining seconds by John Gerber from Steve Robin- son. VE" OUR Ho) PNY LO 1978 Dodge Aspen radio. Lic. MRF662. the way. The first of these events will take place this evening (Wednesday) when the Port High Senior Wind Ensemble will perform with Dr. Tom Millar. Tickets are $2.00 and the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Following this, will be our parade on Saturday. The committee is working very hard to complete this float and we hope to have many students out to see it. Last week's basketball action ssaw both the Junior and the Senior boys in win- ning form against Dunbar- ton. Good work teams! Plans are well under way for P.P.H.S.'s annual "Child's Christmas in Port Perry" Each year this show draws an overwhelming response from surrounding elementary schools, so be sure to get your child's ticket early. This Thursday will be "Meet the Teacher's Night" at our school. This is your chance to ask any questions you might have about your child's school work, etc. Be sure to attend. Don't forget the Christmas dance on December 15th. Decorations will be set up and it should prove to be an enjoyable evening for every- one there. float entry in the Santa Claus NOTICE TO RESIDENTS Of Scugog Township, Manvers Township, Town of Newcastle & City of Oshawa NOTICE OF APPLICATION to The Ontario Municipal Board by the Cor- poration of the Township of Scugog for approval of a By-law to regulate land use passed pursuant to Section 35 of The Planning Act.
