The couple united in marriage were Karen Ruth, daughter of Ken and Peggy Clark of Seagrave and Brian George, "son of George and Kay Parry of Port Perry. Rev. J. Roundell officiated. Mrs. Joan Lee was the soloist accompanied by Mrs. Fern Tobin. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown with a long train, frilly bodice, puffed sleeves, and high neckline with a match- ing cathedral length veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of red roses bor- dered with white lace. She wore a locket given to her Grandmother on her wed- ding day fifty-two years ago. The Maid of Honour was Arlene Howell, friend of the bride. She wore a peach polyester gown with a in wd 33 BV matching print chiffon cape and carried yellow daisies. The Bridesmaids were Lori Clark, sister of the Bride, Cheryl Chandler and Tina Gerber, friends of the bride. Their gowns matched the Maid of Honours' in yellow. They carried peach-tinted daisies. The Flower Girl was Amber Tutton. Her gown matched the bridesmaids' and she carried a basket of mixed coloured daisies. The Bestman was Alan Howell, friend of the Groom. Ushers were Stephen Clark, David Parry, brothers of the Bride and Groom (respec- tively) and Bob Elliott, friend of the Groom. The groom's tuxedo was solid beige while the ushers and the Bestman wore beige and mahogany. Rev. R. Brawn officiated at the ceremony. The bride wore a full length Polu knit gown featur- ing a mandarin collar, venise lace bodice, chapel train and attached cape with lace trim. A matching cap held a three tiered silk illu- sion veil with scalloped edge and pearl trim. Valerie Sweetman of Port kp { 3 Perry was maid-of-honour. Bridesmaids were Cindy Baird of Port Perry, Karen Visser, Detroit, Michigan, sister of the bride and Laurie Saunders, Bowmanville, sister of the groom. Ken Rowe of Orono acted as best man. Ushers were Richard Shackleton of Oshawa, David Ormiston of Bowmanville and George Saunders, brother-in-law of the groom, Bowmanville. The reception was held at the Immaculate Conception Hall, Port Perry. The couple spent their honeymoon in Ottawa. The newlyweds are now residing in Oshawa. Gray - Savoy Wedding On July 2nd, 1978, Carol Ann Savoy of Neguac, N.B. became the bride of Robert Earl Gray of Toronto, Ontario. The couple were joined in marriage by Rev. Father R. Grattan in St.Bernard's R.C. Church, Neguac, N.B. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a long white chiffon over satin gown accentuated with a hooded cape of Chantilly lace. Her bouquet was a combination of roses, daisies and carnations. The matrorf-honour was Mrs. Elva elle, friend of the bride. They wore identical for- mal gowns of old rose bur- gundy, featuring high neck- lines with ecru lace inserts, styled in the blousson fashion with long full sleeves gather- ed at the wrists. The groom and his attendants wore navy blue tuxedos with white bouton- nieres. The reception was held at the Blackstock Community Centre where the bride's mother received guests wearing a formal coral gown with pleated skirt and bell sleeves and a corsage of bronze orchids. The groom's mother assis- ted wearing a formal gown of wintergreen with shirring at the waist and a corsage of mauve orchids. For travelling the bride chose a camel wood dress with cowl neckline, brown accessories and a corsage of silk roses.
