Port Perry Star Christmas Edition - Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1978 - 1] CHRISTMAS EVE It was Christmas Eve Where I live. My house is very old white with black shutters hanging by one or two screws. I was sent to bed early for Christmas was the next morning. 1 was going up the stairs when I thought why not leave some cookies and milk out for Santa Claus that night. It was about twelve o'clock when I had to go to the washroom. When I finally got there I walked right by the door and kept on walking. I walked right in to the tree with a big "Ouch". My mom and dad came running out of their bedroom. Mom picked me out of the tree while dad turned on the light in the bathroom. After I went to the washroom I had a drink of water. When I got into bed I dozed off just as I heard "Clunk, clunk, clunk" on the roof. Ithought to myself that it must be Santa Claus so I went to sleep very fast. The next morning about four-thirty my sisters came running in and jumped on me. I woke up and looked through my stocking. We went down stairs to wake up my mom but she was already up with breakfast on the stove. We had to wait for my dad to get out of the barn so we could open our presents. He finally came in. My two sisters and I with a big loud scream ran in and grabbed one of our presents. With one rip they were open- ed. It was so fun that day. I'm glad it comes every year. Carl Baylis Grade 5 Greenbank P.S. Christmas Eve Stories | CHRISTMAS EVE On Christmas Eve the tree was to be decorated. We got out the ornaments and start- ed. After a while it was done. That night I couldn't sleep. When I was going to the washroom I heard some- thing downstairs so I went to look. When I got downstairs I was so surprised to see St. Nick. I went upstairs and woke my brother. We went cown to take a look. But we were too late. All we heard was St. Nick Saying "Merry Christ- mas to all and to all a good night"'. We went back to bed. In the morning when we awoke I found St. Nick's hat. Sean Fisher Grade 5 Greenbank P.S. 3 3 Count our very "Qi § warm wishes for a holiday without measure, among your gifts this Christmas.
