Port opened the scoring on a controversial goal scored by Sean Fewer on Ports side of half. Fewer let go a slap shot, the puck somehow went through Uxbridge's, goalies legs, went into the net and bounced out. Or did it? Some people claim it hit the post. (Due to lack of an instant replay machine, referees credited Fewer with the goal). ~ Port's second goal came from Donny Young on a good set up by Sean Fewer. She is a first semester . science student, and was an active curler during high Louise is in her second semester at Guelph, and has competed in high school curling, = Junior Farmers and business girls. The other members of the Guelph team are Leslie Uhigh of Burlington; Nancy Plato of Niagara Falls; and Ada Galloway, also from Niagara Falls. , "In a recent invitational match, the team split, losing one game and winning one. Stouffville, Woodville by Len Franssen Stone's Pee Wees dropped two games on the weekend. On Thursday they travelled to Stouffville where they were defeated 8-0. Although beaten they played hard and it was only in the second and third period the local boys were outclassed. This was due to the fact that the Port team was short players and they tired midway through period 2. It was then that Stouffville came on strong against a weary Port team. On Saturday, Woodville provided the opposition, in Woodville. Stone's started badly and were soon down 4-0. Port made their come- back late in the second too strong for PeeWees period when Fred Cockerton scored assisted by Kevin Fowler. From this point on it was all Port Perry on goals by Kevin Fowler and Dean Haugen with assists going to Fred Cockerton (2), Dean Haugen and Jeff Cockerton. Woodville managed to get one back to close out the scoring 5-3 in their favour. This was a real good come from behind effort by the local boys and they are all to be congratulated for their attitude. Many thanks to those who helped with the check points on Sunday, January 21 for our C.0.R.S.A. question- aire. Harvey Graham told us about the trip and the trails in Quebec.
