We're sorry, but these Rape charge A 36-year old Cannington man has been charged with rape following an incident last week in the office of the local newspaper in that community. A Durham Region police spokesman says that a 57-year old employee of the Cannington Gleaner was allegedly assaulted about 6:00 p.m. on February 28. The woman was alone at the time. Police say the alleged assault took place after a man walked into the office through the front door, which was unlocked. amount of cash was reported missing. GUARDIAN Nestleton, Caesarea by Mabel Cawker last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wygerde of Nestleton entertained one of the exchange students from Quebec in the person of Rosalie Robinson from Polyvalente de Carlton High School, Carlton, Quebec, which is situated on the Gaspe Penninsula. Rosalie was the guest of their youn- gest. daughter Teresa for five days. Many High School activities have been planned by Blackstock High, for this eventful trip. Nancy and Brian Nichol- son of Richmond Hill were home with her parents Rita and Joe Wygerde for the weekend. Nancy and Brian are planning a trip to Florida in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dayes of Nestleton visited with her sister Mrs. Frances Sutton, Orono on Sunday. Congratu- lations, and belated wishes to Fred who celebrated his birthday on Feb. 27th.
