Mrs. McGibbon is a.patron and the Easter Seal campaign will 'Let's Get Growing' by Margaret Beath The Brooklin Horticultural 'Society has designated 1979 as the year for "Let's Get Growing Together" and in keeping with this theme, a segment of each monthly meeting will be alloted to having "Fun with Flora." On February 28, and in the absence of President John Jefferies, Ken Brown presided over the meeting and welcomed members as well as visitors from Oshawa, Whitby, Hampton and to quote, 'half the Town of Ajax". Mr. Brown also hosted the various activities of the evening which began with group participation in a test on our knowledge of plant names. Following this, a sing-song in a parody on gardening was conducted by Chrissie Simpson, assisted by Rose Heron at the piano.
