Councillor Gerry Emm of Whitby was opposed to this idea and said that the boat - offered by the region was not suitable for police purposes. The offices presently used by the provincial goverment could be vacated in 1982 when the lease expires. e management commit- tee! of council was to deal with the report from Mr. Richardson at its meeting last week, and likely will bring forth recommen- "dations for consideration - when the full Durham council meets again this week. However, deciding where to locate that new building could have proved disastrous for Durham.
