The Durham Region planning committee has recommended that Dr. Mofeed Michael be made commissioner of the Region's planning Depart- ment. Dr. Michael is presently director of planning for Durham Region, and if Regional council ratifies the committee recommenda- tion, he would fill the top planning post which has been vacant since early this year when former commissioner Bill McAdams was forced to resign.
