Four spoked hub-caps valued at $160 were reported stolen from a 1979 Pontiac parked on Perry Street early Sunday morning. A resident of Concession 5, Scugog, reports a 16 by 32 vinyl covering for a pool was stolen from his property Sunday. The value is $230. Two side mirrors valued at $160 were reported stolen from a 1978 Ford truck parked on Queen Street, Prince Albert. A garage on the 9th Concession was broken into and a Remington chain saw valued at $85 is reported missing. Four chrome wire wheel covers valued at over $200 were reported stolen from a 1979 Lincoln automobile on the lot at Colin Ball Motors, Port Perry. Stereo equipment valued at $250 was reported stolen after a house trailer at North Brock Motor Sales, Highway 12, was broken into. On Sunday, April 27th the Baxter family of Greenbrier Farm, on Quaker Road, held a Bike-a-Thon to raise funds for the Central Seven workshop. They biked from near Beaverton to Port Perry down old Simcoe Street, a distance of 48 kilometers. Bikers were Frank, Catherine, Rose, Mary, Liz, Joe and Jim Doherty, Marjory was the runner and water bearer. They raised a total of $3,700 through the Bike-a-Thon.
