Adding a little unnecessary excitement was the presence of a local Union picket group who muscled into the proceedings in customary fashion. On Thursday evening the Yelverton Sunday School sponsored an evenings enter- tainment in the church basement for members and their parents and friends. The evening commenced with a pot luck supper . followed by a program including skits, etc. put on by the Sunday School members. Clifford Wright and Paul Atkinson each gave their speech that they gave at Grandview School on "Poverty" and "Pollution" respectively. Observing the "Year of the Child" the children demonstrated their handiwork in what they were doing weekly in class. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Mathison and family who farm near London, Ontario and attended Guelph Univer- sity together were weekend guests of the Terry Malcolms. Mr. Howard Malcolm assisted at the sod turning ceremony for the new Swine Research Centre to be built at Guelph. Agricultural Minister Bill Newman was an active participant in the program. Miss Jane Connolly and Mr. Marti Malcolm spent Saturday evening with friends at their cottage near Tory Hill. Sorry to report that Miss Audrie Brown had the misfortune to get her new car clobbered while driving home from the city this week. Audrie is now the unfortunate owner of one lame "Rabbit" due to no fault of her own. PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, May 16, 1979 -- 33 at's behind the taste of our Olde Fashioned Recipe?
