By some method, he was able to talk his way clear to be allowed to come home for Saturday to attend the Tractor Pull. We all surely hope that soon relief will be found for you, Ray. A number of relatives and friends from here attended the wedding of Dierdre Feg- an to Donald Trewin on Saturday in St. Philip of the Apostle Church, Oshawa and the reception and dance at the Kedron Dells Golf Club. Misses Cheryl Graham and Edie Alstein returned home from visiting Cheryl's uncle Larry Hoskin at Lake Louise. They attended the Calgary Stampede as well. Also Mr. and Mrs. Larry Schryburt and family return- ed home from a trip to the Calgary stampede. Larry and Beth took a two-week's holiday and stopped enroute to visit friends at Thunder Bay and Saskatoon. While in Calgary they stayed with Larry's sister Mr. and Mrs. Dave Fowler. While they were on a trip to see the mountains they visited Larry Hoskin and his guests Cheryl and Edie. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Larm- er spent the weekend visiting their son Dave Larmer in the Essex area. The Senior Citizens Card party on Tuesday night had 20 tables. Winners were 1. The O.N.O. sponsored swimming lessons are in full swing once again. There is bus supervision by Jane Davies that takes a large number of young people to Uxpool, Uxbridge for lessons daily. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Swain and to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kiezebrink who each have had new baby sons born recently. The 26th annual McLaugh- lin Family Picnic was held on Sunday at the Cartwright Park, Caesarea. Bill and Janis St. John were in charge of the programme and various events. A deli- cious pot luck picnic supper was enjoyed by all. A fine time of visiting and remin- iscing concluded a pleasant gathering.
