After a bountiful Pot Luck lunch and a little fun entertainment, Reta was called to the front to be presented with a swag lamp, canister set and a fan for her new home. After living in the community for a numer- ous number of years, Reta has gained much respect as well as many friends and accepted these gifts with very appropriate words. Mrs. Doupe was also pre- sented with a lovely Church plate. May I take this opportunity to bid you both farewell from Seagrave and to wish you much happiness in your new homes in Port Perry. Please remember to come visit the Community often. The Seagrave Playground aresplanning a Slave Auction to help raise funds for the playground. This will be held on July 26th at 9:00 a.m. at the Seagrave United Church. Once the children have been dispursed to the slave buyers, the instructors can then get their names, where they went and the length of time they will be working. Sounds like some good labour and lots of fun. Mrs. Sharon Twiner,Kevin and Laura have been vaca- tioning with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Short for the week. Then on the weekend they and Grandma Short journey- ed back to North Bay to help Kevin celebrate his third birthday. Grandma Short has remained for a few days holiday.
