On Monday, July 30 they were clobbered 9-2 by Albuk of Oshawa and on Thursday, August 2 they surprised Ont- ario Motor Sales, also of Oshawa, 7-2. Port Perry did not look bad in the loss. They were victims of one bad inning as Oshawa jumped on starting righty Mark Jeffrey for sev- en runs. They were stopped cold by an excellent pitching performance from Doug Spencer. * Jeffrey threw well for two innings before running into trouble in the third. Cheer up, you Purple people, it will never be as bad as this again. PEE WEE Scugog A-2 * Trojans-2 On August 1st Scugog A team, Port Perry Lions played the Oshawa Trojans at Russett Park. Both teams played very well. The Tro- jans started the scoring put- ting one past Scugog's goalie in the first half. Ken Hugg- ins, Number 5, got a goal for Scugog ending the first half in a tie. In the second half Ian Porter, number 11, scor- ed to put Scugog ahead 2 to 1. Scugog's goalie Jerry Jack- man made three very good saves keeping Scugog in the game.
