Port defeated Stouffville in the third and final game by the score of 3 4 i 126. Robinson went the distance striking out 12 in the 7 inning game. Summerlea golf ladies compete by Margaret Boynton On Tuesday, August 14th, a grab bag Tournament was held with 26 ladies out in the evening. A lunch of fresh fruit crackers, cheese and coffee as well as prizes¥ The weather was cool but a good time was had by all. Winners of the prizes were: Low Gross-Lucy Wil- son, Low Net-Josie Wilson, Longest Drive-S. Diane Prentice, Least Putts-Rosey Vander Hyden, Low hidden hole-Vivian Rider, High Hid- den Hole-Nickey MacDon- ald, Most Putts-Marg. Will aid Muscular Dystrophy by Janice Jackman A neighbourhood carnival against Muscular Dystrophy will be held on August 27 at 441 Beechcroft Crescent. Joey Jackman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jackman, will serve as ringmaster, assisted by Janice and Jimmy Jackman, Todd and Tina Soomre, Matthew and Sue MacMillan, Andrew Steele and Alexander Kupcis. The carnival, which begins at 1 p.m., will feature such games as: What's your Guess; Hit the Clown; Can Toss and Fish Pond, and all proceeds will go to aid the fight against Dystrophy and related diseases.
