A few from Prince Albert and surrounding area attended the Beef B.B. 2 and amateur show at the new arena on Saturday, Septem- ber 1. The meal was perfect and the show delightful. Keep up the good work. Prince Albert sends out congratulations to Miss Port Perry Fair, Bridget Hamil- ton from R.R. 3 Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Snel- grove are home again after a 6 weeks vacation in Alberta, "--Alagka and British Columbia while "in--British Columbia they spent a week--visiting. their daughter Jean in Van: couver. ' This past week end Myrtle and Bruce visited Mr. and Mrs. A. Snelgrove in Sarnia. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Diagle, along with Max and Char- lene spent a week at her sister's cottage at Gull Lake near Kingston. On the evening of August 25th, family and friends gathered at Prince Albert ~ "finigh "high school Community Center to honour Dorothy and Roy Hope who recently celebrated their sil- ver wedding anniversary. On behalf of those assembled Master of Ceremonies Terry Hodgins expressed congratu- 'lations and good wishes to Dorothy and Roy and pre- -ented them with a money tree. As part of the evening's entertainment a very amus- ing mock wedding was staged. Tiny Teresa Hodgins was the blushing bride and Might Mouse (Linda) Mac- Millan the nervous groom. The Rev. Eileen Flatfoot Hodgins officiated and Lor- etta (Lloyd) Pereman looked radiantly awful as the bridesmaid. He was wearing a complete bridesmaid en- semble of 25 years ago. Others in the wedding party included Vivian Canning as best man, Norma Robinson Mother of the bride, Judy Webb, Father of the bride, and Beth Pereman, soloist. Piano accompaniment was by Eva Hunter. Dancing followed and the evening ended with a lovely lunch. r. and Mrs. Roy Hope ere also given another sur- phise at the Hope's annual picnic at Popular Park when the whole clan remembered their 25th anniversary. While not being one to tire out easily, Roy and Dorothy with some of the children went camping at Emily Park down at Omeemee on the long weekend. Recently Mr. and Mn: Fred Brooks along with Mrs Ann Glidden and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davidson of Port Perry visited cousins in Pembroke, Ontario. The Les Beacocks had their son Grant of Toronto for the long weekend. Also two grandchildren Lee and Blair Beacock of Seagrave for a few days holiday.
