Reg. Rose of the Anglican Church, Port Perry will be the speaker and there will be special music to celebrate the occa- sion. There will be no Church or Sunday School at either Greenbank or Pine- dale. The Seagrave Choir prac- tices Thursday evening at 8 p.m. New faces would be welcomed. The session will meet in the church following choir practise. Birthday Box visitors Sun- day morning included Amy Lynn and Gramp Bert Wana- maker, David Standish, Lloyd Short, and Randy Moore. The Mothers Auxiliary will be meeting at the home of Mrs. Donna Phypers Wed- nesday evening, September 26 at 8 p.m. The fashion show sponsor- ed by the Mothers Auxiliary of Scouting last Tuesday morning was well attended as the ladies viewed the lovely fall outfits presented by Eatons of Oshawa. Mrs. Debbie Taylor was the pleas- ed recipient of the gift certif- icate for selling the most tickets. Thank you to all who donated their time in the babysitting area and to those who baked the delicious muffins. It all helped to make the morning most enjoyable. Unit II of the U.C.W. met at the home of Mrs. Bruce Malcolm in Manilla last Monday evening. Members were asked to bring a small jar of preserves or small craft item to the next meet- ing. More details on this at the next meeting. It was decided to hold a Games Night with pot luck lunch on Saturday evening November 17 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Puckrin. The Beavers group has got underway and is meeting in the church basement Thurs- day evenings at 6:15 p.m. Little Miss Amy Lynn Wanamaker celebrated her 6th birthday last Wednesday afternoon by entertaining 6 little friends at her home. A beautiful Sunday after- noon found the Seagrave Oldtimers at our park play- ing against Little Britain Rejects. It was a good game and we nearly caught up but the Rejects came out on top by three runs. This was the last game of the schedule. Ladies of the U.C.W. are reminded of the Bake Sale to be held Friday of the Thanksgiving Weekend at Stones barn. Pies and bread are the main feature of this sale. Mrs. Roy Smith, Mrs. W. King, and Mrs. Fred Puckrin were among the ladies who travelled to Barrie Saturday with the Louise Patterson Guild to view the Quilt Dis- play at Simcoe County Museum. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Puck- rin recently returned from visiting relatives in Sudbury, Port Elgin and Manitoulin Island. A number of Seagravers took in Lindsay Fair over the weekend.
