For one thing, it was a week of sports shirt sales and they went extreme- ly well. Thank you students for showing your support. On Wednesday, all Activi- ty Card holders were relea- sed at 2:05 p.m. for the football game. Our boys put up a great fight although the final score was not in our favour. Our soccer team was also defeated in Thurs- day's game against Picker- ing. See the sports section for further details. Our next dance is a D.J. dance on October 26 and is FREE to all Activity Card holders. At the student council meeting which was held last week, the social convenors informed us that our Christmas dance will feature the group "Rendez- vous'. : The Girls Basketball teams played another triple header last Wednesday. Lloyd Wilson's Auction Barn on Tuesday and again at the John Thompson farm on Sat- urday. We congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Russell Carnaghan (nee Helen Phoenix) on the arrival of their baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bishop spent the weekend with Mr. and . Don McKean. Bob and Pat Spencer and several others from this area attended the wedding of Rod Kay of Manchester at Brant- ford on Saturday and stayed in Brantford over the week- end.
