A very special thankyou to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Puckrin for the beautiful chalice they presented to our church. Birthday box visitors this week were Jason McCully and Ken Sturman, also cele- brating last week were Glen- da Hutcheon and Sharon Stone. Many happy returns to you all. Sharon had a few ity centre. surprises to make this year unforgettable, just when she has reached the age when you try to forget. Unit Iwill meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Puckrin Monday, October 22nd at 8 pm. The guest speaker will be Danielle Clark. Seagrave has no commun- The United Church in the village serves not only as a place of worship Sunday morning, but also as our community centre. Here we find our various organiza- tions meeting almost every night of the week. Possibly, your daughters attend Brow- nies or your sons either Beavers, Cubs or Scouts meet here. Also the Park Board, U.C.W., Board of Stewards and session use this building. The Church serves as a community centre when a young couple is honoured with a bridal shower or a luncheon is held. It is a meeting place for family and friends following a funeral. Our children, once again, used the basement as a playground meeting place this summer. In some way we all use this building. Mr. and Mrs. Fredd Nobbs enjoyed Friday evening at the Buttonville Country Club to celebrate the Silver Wedd- ing anniversary of close friends. Also on Tuesday evening of this week they will attend the preview of the opening of the book "Hurri- cane Hazel" where they will meet Betty Kennedy the author. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wana- maker enjoyed having Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Mitchell, Cam- bridge(Gault), for a mini holiday this week. Grandpa Wanamaker babysat last Friday evening and proved he could still change a diaper. In about three weeks we will hold our Turkey supper, more details will follow. "There will be Sunday School only this week as it is Pinedale's Anniversary. Sunday School will comm- ence at 10 o'clock.
