Sea- grave church and Sunday School will resume at their normal time next Sunday. The Seagrave Park Board held their annual meeting last week with 17 in attend- ance. (a very poor showing). Your tennis courts are to be started by the publishing of this article. Other business discussed was this year's park playground program, next year's tournament, fin- ishing touches on tennis courts and minor ball for next year. This Year's Christmas Dance is on Dec- ember 15 at the Port Perry Catholic Hall at 8 p.m. Music will be provided by Irwin Smith. Ticket prices are $6 per couple for park members and $8 couple gen- eral admission. The tickets are now available to park members for the next two weeks and after such time will be open to the public. For tickets please contact any member of the Park Board which includes Frank Branton, Bert Hutcheon, Keith and Roy Puckrin, Law- rence Carr, Ray Abraham, Hans Buscher, Peter Jones and Charlie Ash. The present executive will remain in office for one more year with the additon of a representative from Robin- glade, Charlie Ash. There will be a second open meet- ing on April 14, 1980. Special thanks to Doug Fish of the Mariposa Council for attend- ing our meeting. There will be a community shower for Gord Durward and his bride to be at the Seagrave Church on Satur- day, November 3 at 8 p.m. Ladies please bring lunch. Utica by Vera Brown This week looks like a busy one in the village, starting on Friday evening with the euchre to be held in the Hall at 8 p.m. On Saturday evening at 8 p-m. the Epsom-Utica Social Club invites everyone to join with them in an evening of cards, games and square dancing at Utica Hall. This evening was arranged by The Greenbank and Sea- grave Ladies Auxiliary of Scouting are having their annual Christmas Bazaar at the Greenbank United Church on Saturday Novem- ber 3 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be a bake table, white elephant table, crafts, etc. The newly formed Sea- grave Co-operative Play- school is available to child- ren 3 and 4 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Mary Payne, with the assistance of Bonnie Payne, entertained grand- daughter Jody on the occas- ion of her first birthday yesterday. Jody's great- grandmother Mrs. Minnie Harper also helped Jody cel- ebrate her big day. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sny- der from Beaverton were guests on Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wanamaker. A family gathering was held on Sunday at the home of Bert and Gertie Wana- maker, including Ron and Leona Wanamaker and fam- ily, Miss Pam Hopkins from Oshawa, Bill and Sharon and children from Prince Albert, and Neil and Donna and family. Recent visitors with Mrs. Bessie MacCannell were Mr. and Mrs. Doug MacCannell and girls of Peterborough, Mr. and Mrs. John Jaegar of Oshawa, Mrs. Jessie Holley and friend of Markdale, Mrs. Mary McCosh of Ajax and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reusink. The Utica Sunday School have cancelled the bazaar that was planned for next month and apologize for any inconvenience they may have caused. On Wednesday Mrs. Mild- red Thompson, Mrs. Dora Geer, Mrs. Eva Sutcliffe and Mrs. Caroline Bell accom- panied the Senior Citizens on a bus trip to Elmira and the Kitchener area. Mrs. Mildred Thompson was a Friday supper guest with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Clark at Marsh Hill, the occasion to celebrate Master Ryan Clark's 4th birthday.
