Having completed three of six scheduled performances of Pirates of Penzance at Town Hall 1873, the Scugog + Choral Society can justify- ably be proud as they have once again came up with a winner. The two hour operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan was an instant success last weekend selling out on both Friday and Saturday night and fill- ing the hall to near capacity again on Sunday afternoon. Some very excellent - week 8 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wed., November 21, 1979 Scugog Choral Society draws capacity crowds to Pirates of Penzance performances were given by members of the cast, and their talent along with stage sets, costumes and accompanied by a sextet all added to the success of the two act operetta.
