Then I saw presents under the tree. On the fireplace there was a thing that looked like a sock. In it there was candy, a book, a bell, and a doll. I thought it was my birthday! Just then Mom and Dad came into the room. I asked, "What's in the sock and under the tree? My mom told me that it was Christ- mas. My Dad told me it is Jesus' birthday. I asked why I got all the presents. Mom said, 'Jesus' did so you and other children get presents." So I unwrapped the gifts and in the boxes there was a teddy bear, a top, a ball, a game called Blip and other things. The End. Barbie Shaver Grade 3, Room 7 Prince Albert P.S. Merry Christmas to All! I sneeked down stairs to see what I was going to get, and boy did I get a surprise. I quickly ducked behind a chair. Sitting by the fire- place was this fat man all dressed in red with a long white beard. He was eating the cookies we had left out for him. He finished the last one, washed it down with a glass of milk, he stood up and let out a yawn that sounded like a fog horn. He went to work scattering presents everywhere. I ran up stairs and got back so I wouldn't see what I was going to get and spoil my surprise! John Moore Grade 6 R.H. Cornish -ASNOWY DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS My boots come walking through the snow.
