The Mothers' Auxiliary that supports the various 5 groups of the Scout and Guide Association wishes to do something to give finan- cial support for the work that is being done in this area. Accordingly they have decided upon a bake sale and tea as this is very popular. This event will honour Valentine's Day and will be held in the Community Hall from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sat. Feb. 9th. If you just wish to purchase goodies you will find them in the entrance room. But if you have time to chat and meet your neighbours over tea, you may do so in the Main Hall for a small donation of 50 cents. By the end of the third quarter the Redmen had regained an 11 point lead. Port went back to the tight defence in the last quarter as they forced turnovers and refused the Trojans the chance to get untracked. Todd Wilbur, Brett Ooster- man, and Harris bore the most of the responsibility of the attack as the trio combined for 39 points. John Butler, Scott Wallace, and Peter Stone each tossed in four points. Scott Sinclair had three and Pete Christie had two points to finish off the scoring. The Trojan defence simply threw a blanket over top scoring midget guard Donnie Young and the rest of the Redmen as they went on to post a 58-23 win. Port was allowed only four points in the first quarter and three more in the second while the Trojans took a 28-7 half time lead. The best frame for the Redmen was the third when they limited the hosting team to just 20 points. and other conservation.
