Sunday night Mrs. Laura Woodward of Pointe au Baril spent the evening with Miss Ruth Proutt of Nestleton. Laura is the former Laura Proutt of Nestleton and will be remembered by many folk within the community. Cawker, Scarborough, and spent the evening with Ralph and Sylvia Cawker, Chandre and Jason also of Scarborough. On Tuesday the Cawkers called on George and Ella Bowers of Nestleton and found them well and enjoy- ing the winter. Other visitors present were Ella's sister Mrs. Mabel Dayes, Nestleton, and Mrs. Marg- uerite Beacock, a niece from Blackstock. Many from this area attended the 30th wedding anniversary of Bill and Shirley Nicholls, Caesarea, held in the Masonic Hall, Port Perry on Saturday afternoon last. We extend Heartiest Congratulations to a delightful couple. . Euchre Results Winners at the Wednesday evening party were as follows: 1. AI Wackett 2. Georgie McClean 3-Bridget ~Moase. Special Valentine draw was won by Raymond McClean. The beautiful Valentine cake was donated by Elma Forsyth of Caesarea and much- appreciated. - Quite a good attendance and folks may look forward to an interesting euchre every Wednesday night at Sympathy Blue Ray Chapter, No. 238, O.E.S. Port Perry, were deeply saddened and shock- ed to learn of the sudden death of a beloved friend, Mrs. Nellie Pring of Durham Chapter, Bowmanville. Nellie was a beautiful Scottish singer and gave liberally of her talents at home and abroad. She has indeed given a life of dedicat- ed service. Wherever she went in Chapter circles she "Caesarea Centre at 8 p.m. was asked to sing or play and she never refused. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family-husband Wilson, daughters Lola and Helen and son John. A devoted wife and mother and will be missed by so many. Blue Ray Chapter Hosts Friendship Night Blue Ray Chapter No. 238, 0.E.S. met Thursday even- ing, Feb. 14th in the Masonic. Hall, Port Perry with a fair attendance. Worthy Matron Marjorie McCombe assisted by Worthy Patron Sam Cawker extended a friendly greeting to members and guests, We welcome warmly Diana Quaas of Port Perry into the Chapter and trust she will enjoy the work of the order and the association with the Sisters and Brothers of Blue Ray. Plans are in the offering for many activities within the Chapter in the weeks ahead. Members, do lend your support to Sister Mar- jorie and the Officers so that the organization will have a banner year. We are a caring organization, we have proved that in so many ways. A Chapter is only as good as its members so let us be sisters and brothers in the true sense of the word. Hospital Auxiliary by Luella Graham Correspondence Secretary Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held its February meeting in the hospital on Monday, Feb. 11. The President opened the meeting with a lovely poem. There were 21 ladies present including 2 visitors. Minutes of the last meeting were read and adapted. The treasurer gave her report and Camille reported on balance of Tuck Shop and Gift Cart. Thank you notes were read and filed. There were 4 boys and 7 girls born in the hospital since January 31.
