This week was chosen to honour the Founder's Birth- days which were on Feb- ruary 22nd. The Port Perry Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers kicked off Scout-Guide Week with a Father and Son Banquet on Saturday evening. On Sunday morning all members of the Port Perry Scouting and Guiding move- ment attended a Church Parade and Service at the Port Perry United Church with the service being con- ducted by Rev. Robert Brawn. On Wednesday of this week February 20th the Port Perry Guide and Scout groups will be holding @n Open House at the Scout Hall on Lilla Street from 7 to 9 p.m. This is open to the General Public to come and see Guiding and Scouting in Action. The Guide Movement uses this week to Think of Guides around the World. For the past few weeks all the girls have been saving their Think- ing Day pennies to help the less fortunate members of the Guiding World. On Friday, February 22 all members of both movements will be wearing their uniforms to honour their Founders Birthdays.
