On Thursday Feb. 21 Craig proceeded to the Central Durham Public Speaking Finals held in the Cartwright Public School to win first. Congratulations on his fine standing. This Thurs- day night Craig will enter the Durham Region Public Speaking contest which will be held in Henry Street School, Whitby. Good luck on this endeavor. On Sunday afternoon three Cartwright Public Speakers participated in the Legion Contest at Port Perry and all three won first prize in their own classes. Joy Werry was in the Grade 4,5 and 6 class; Craig Paisley in the Grade 7 and 8 and Pat Reader in the Grade 11-12. She spoke on My Public Speeches through the Years. These three contest- ants go on to Uxbridge on March 9. Congratulations. We are proud of you all.
