Mrs. Francis Sutton, Orono, Mrs. Helen Vine and Darlene were recent Sunday dinner guests. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Malcolm, Nestleton, were Dennis and Laina Malcolm, Scarbor- ough and Gail Malcolm, Blackstock. Welcome home from Florida to Mr. Stanley Malcolm, who arrived by plane in Toronto on Wednes- day and there to meet him were son Lawrence Malcolm Laurie, and David. He returned to his Port Perry apartment for the summer months. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Edgerton, Nestleton, and his mother Mrs. Harry Edger- ton, Hillsdale Manor, Oshawa, were dinner guests with Denise and Bob Baxter in Oshawa on Sunday evening last week. Mrs. Maurice Edgerton attended the trousseau tea for Mary Ellen Durwood, held at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Durwood, Sunderland on Saturday afternoon. TA TXT dd Cawker Scugog Point dined at Crandell"s Riverboat, Port Perry, at the noon hour and enjoyed it tremendously. For food enthusiasts it is superb dining with excellent service - where perfection begins with the salad and ends with the last drop of good tea or coffee. Sur- roundings are relaxing with charm, warmth and friendli- ness. There are really no adequate words to describe it. Allan Mairs, Lindsay, visited with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mairs, Nestleton Tuesday and Wednesday last week. On Tuesday evening a birthday celebration was held for Allan with other members of the family present for the occasion. The very best to Allan on his big day. Couples from Caesarea, Nestleton, Blackstock, Port Perry, Uxbridge and Oshawa had a fun filled, enjoyable evening dancing to Sagittarian at the Black- stock Rec. Centre Saturday April 19th sponsored by the Sexual Abuse Crisis Centre. Those participating report a wonderful time with delicious food, and a very entertaining evening. Con- gratulations to the lucky folks who won the beautiful assortment of prizes. A job well done by the committee for a very worthy cause. W.I. Program Planning On Wednesday afternoon the Women's Institute met at Mrs. Lawrence Malcolm's WOODWORKING SHOP Pine - Cupboards - Furniture home to plan programmes for the coming year and other business concerning the District Annual to be held at Nestleton Community Centre on May 8th. Variety Programme The Variety Concert held on Tuesday evening in Nestleton United Church was staged by the Amazing AAA VAL SLA BA ESE Country Performers of Janetville and well received by an appreciative audience. Several humorous skits were interspersed with musical items. Fine talent was displayed by Lana Malcolm, Laurie and Art Rodgers, Dorothy Draper, the Scottish Dancers and actors in the various plays. Court Lady Snowbird L1930 The regular meeting of Court Lady Snowbird L1930 was held on Monday April 14, at the home of President Irene Train, Caesarea. The roll call showed 6 officers with 10 members present. The minutes of the last meeting were read by Secretary Carol Doyle and approved. The Treasurer Marg. Lee reported the bank balance. Re membership there are 30 adult members, 6 social, and 8 juvenile. In March 1980 Court Lady Snowbird gave $25.00 to the Snowarama for the Crippled Children held in Port Perry.
