Regional dinner by Margaret Meunier Many people accept sick- ness, strife and indifference as a way of life. Indeed the individual on his own cannot change these realities. It is refreshing therefore, to witness the continued exist- ence of organizations which seek to modify and improve the living conditions of needy people. The diversity of services which is offered by the members of the C.W.L. testi- fies to its effort in contribut- ing to "humanity". Indeed, at the annual dinner meeting held on April 22, it became apparent that C.W.L. is active in all walks of life where there is a need; homes BO: | Rous: or Howans CK DOOR SALE Z . This meeting brought to light the importance of strengthening a useful organization. On the lighter side of the evening, all who attended the meeting enjoyed a delicious meal and enjoyed some excellent entertainment by the Scugog Choral Society. The con-celebrated mass was followed by an interest- ing speech by the Reverend. He spoke eloquently on the subject of "motherhood" emphasizing the impact of the mother on the future of the child and therefore on Extra Values on society. Although "Need" sometimes dictates that the mother work elsewhere, those who stay home should not feel insignificant; they are, through their children, the builders of the future.
