Our Senior Citizens' meet- ing was held May 28th with a real good attendance. With Roy Grierson in the chair our meeting opened with the sing- ing of O Canada. Roy intro- duced and welcomed four new members, Mr. and Mrs. Urquart and Mr. and Mrs. Effer. Pancake Breakfast The first Brooklin Boy Scouts will be holding a Pancake Breakfast at the Brooklin Spring Fair between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday June 1. This will consist of pancakes and sausages, coffee or juice. The minutes were read by *Ruth Gishler and approved as read-June 19 is the Day to the Races, leaving Red & White at-10:45. June 18 is our Senior Citizens' fun day and pot-luck supper. Don't forget the Community Care Bazaar and Bake Sale on June 26. Ernie Healey gave the treasurer's report. Mary Sweetman was given a rousing welcome back after her ill- ness. Ethel Robertson re- ported for the choir. May Whybrow reported for travel, noting that all buses are full. Hundreds of members of the club and their families joined in the days activities which included a talent show, beauty contest, fashion show and general browsing and chatting. Mr. and Mrs.Alfred Fisher Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ashton, and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Parrott attended the ~25th-anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. W. McAndless of Don Mills on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. Heron, parents of the happy couple also attended a family dinner party at the McAndless home on Satur: day evening. Mrs. Gloria Akin of Scrit- ure press will be at Burns Church under the auspices of the church school to lead in a 'teacher training seminar on Friday evening of this week beginning at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Last Sunday at- Burns Church Rev. McEntyre took his message from St. John and 1st Cor. Mr. Arnold Ashton led the ministry of music at the organ and his mother Mrs. Douglas Ashton graciously sang a solo. Next Sunday, Miss Joan Mellor of Australia who is well known to the congrega- -tion will be at church school and the morning worship to bring a message in words and song. } The Ladies Bible class will meet at the home of Florence Ashton next Tuesday even- ing. It sounds like fun eh? Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gard- ner visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Allan Bonnell of Scarborough. Also Mr. and Mrs. Gardner and Jean visit- ed with Mr. Wm. Lee in Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Mrs. Robert Rowe and daughter Penny of Winnepeg are visiting this week with their parents and grandpar- ents Mr. and Mrs. E. Heron and they all attended the wedding of Mr. McAndless and Miss Jane MacDonald in bethel Church Mississauga on Saturday of last week. Visiting recently with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gardener and Jean were Mr. and Mrs. Steve Gardner and daughter Sharon, Mr. Mike Gardner, Mr. Norman Samells, Mrs. C. Midgeley, Mrs. Irma Tripp and Mr. and Mrs. Westfall and Heather. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Harri- son of Toronto were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daw on Sunday last week and last Saturday they attended their niece's wedd- ing in Huntsville.
