Bill, who was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scot- land, came to Canada in 1953 and had not been in the U.K. since that time. The For- tunes visited friends in Wom- bourne, Nottingham, Lincoln, Edinburgh, and Thurso, covering over 2000 miles in their "leased mini." Bill was able to see many old friends including the principal of the first school he taught in at Biltsthorpe. The old gentleman is now 86 yéars of age and thoroughly enjoyed the visit, discussing staff and incidents of some 30 years ago: . While Mildred and Bill were in the United Kingdom the Pink Shoppe operated smoothly with Violet Lang- feld, Scarborough, and Julie Walker, Sault St. Marie in charge and they stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Donneral in Nestleton. Wedding of Interest Nestleton United Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Saturday August 2 when Mr. and Mrs. Steven Johnson were united in marriage by Rev. Victor Parsons.
