Emergency evacuation mock-up If you happen to be near the Community Nursing Home on Lilla Street this ¢ Saturday and see a lot of police cars and fire trucks, please relax, it's just a drill. In co-operation with the Scugog Fire department and Durham Region Police, the Nursing Home staff will be '®° conducting a "mock emer- gency evacuation' exercise starting at 10 a.m. Septem- ber 27. . Administrator Edna Goss said last week that the drill will be as close as possible to rs a real emergency situation, and most of the 75 elderly residents will be evacuated from the building. She said she expects that the drill will last at least an hour. The plans to stage this ® mock evacuation at the Nursing Home were formu- lated several months ago.
