U.AW.9 Scugog Lumber-1 On Saturday, November 29, UAW. won their first game by defeating Scugog Lumber 9-1. Scoring for U.AW. was Robbie Bryan with four goals," Shaun Nannay with three goals, John Nottingham had one goal, Jim Vernon had one goal and two assists. Scoring the lone goal for Scugog Lumber was Joey Jackman unassisted. Marj Tripp Realty-5 Swamp Garage-0 In the second game of the day Marj. Tripp shut out Swamp Garage 5-0. Scoring for Marj Tripp was Shawn Philips with two goals and two assists. Derek Fitzger- ald had two goals, Matthew Durward had one goal, Paul Wylie had one assist along with Brent McMillen and John David Rodway. Re- cording the shut out for Marj. Tripp was Steven McTavish. PEE WEE HOUSE LEAGUE -GlenVallie-3- Wes Lane-5 Scoring for Wes Lane was Todd Soomre with two goals and one assist. Craig Venning had one goal and one assist. The final goal of the game came from the stick of Jason Towns for Kinsmen, assisted by Dan Muldoon. The third period was scoreless due mainly to the fine work of Michael Skerratt, the Kins- men netminder who stopped numerous Sportsland shots. Scugog Realty-3 Reliable Plumbing-2 In an exciting end to end match, Scugog Realty defeated the Plumbers by a narrow 3-2 score. Danny Sluggett opened the scoring for the Realtors on an un- assisted marker at the 1:38 mark of the first period. The Plumbers tied the match at 7:25 on a fine effort by Mark Andrews, unassisted. Scugog Realty scored twice more in the first period. Jeff Perry jammed one unassist- ed followed by Danny Slug- gett from Gregory Brawn. The second period was score- less, both teams having many chances but both net- minders, Ryan Free for Scugog Realty and Kevin Mantel for Reliable Plumb- ing, played extrememly well between the pipes. Finally with 55 seconds remaining Brad Fertill scored for. Kinsmen assisted by Mike Olaison. Uxbridge zeros - Action "BANTAM HOUSE LEAGUE by Doug Whalen 1.G.A.-5 Emmerson-2 On November 21st, our two Bantam teams played a hard fought game with LG.A. coming out on top once again. Emmerson's putup a good fight with Earl Myers missing pleanty of scoring chances. The game was tied at two apiece going into the third period, but once again I.G.A. had three unanswered goals. Scoring for Emmer- son's was Lionel de Knecht and Dan Tomchishin with assists going to Roger Taylor and Ian Tomchishin. Al Bouwmeester got two goals for 1.G.A. while singles went to Steve Tzountgouris, Jeff Wallace and Mike Linington. Jeff Wray and Chris Watson each tallied two assists with a single going to Jeff Wallace. I.G.A.-8 Emmerson-4 On November 29, 1.G.A. doubled the score against Emmerson's in a well played game by both teams. The score was tied at the end of the first period but three quick goals by I.G.A. in the_ second period seemed to put the game out of reach for Emmerson's. Scoring twice each for 1.G.A. was Chris Watson, Jeff Wray and Dean Fisher with singles going to Al Bouwmeester, and Jeff Wallace. Single assists were credited to Al Bouwmeester, Jeff Wallace, Mike Linington Steve Tzountjouris, Jeff Wray and Chris Watson. Paul McIntyre scored twice for Emmerson's and singles went to Roger Taylor and George Ash. Dan Tomchis- hin, Earl Myers and George Ash each had an assist. NOVICE HOUSE LEAGUE wmsete POF Bantam B's Sportsland4 Kinsmen-2 by Danny Millar ded the shutout as Uxbridge Danny O'Hare scored whitewashed Port Perry twice and Bob Chase recor- CHRISTMAS COUNTRY CLASSICS 181 Queen Street - Port Perry 985-8221 Sportsland defeated Kins- 6-0 to extend Port's winless streak on Monday, Novem- ber 24. O'Hare scored the second and final Uxbridge goals, the first one coming on a power play at 5:20 of the shortened first period on a second rebound after goaler Jim Laughlin made one save off Bill Monkman's shot from the point, and one Uxbridge shot hit the post.
