Defeated by Little Britain PeeWee B score win over Cannington by Paul Van Camp On Thursday the 8th of January, the Port Perry George Stone Realtors Pee Wee B team travelled to Little Britain and came - away on the short side of a 4-2 score. Port opened the scoring on a goal by Blair Phillips after "Mike Johnson set him up. The home team then tied it up but Port centre Karl Durham knocked in a Ron Brown rebound to take the lead. Little Britain then scored three in a row to finish the game. Special mention to Chris Cookman who played a standup game for Port. On Saturday night Port hosted Cannington and beat the number one team 3-2. Cannington jumped out to a quick two goal lead but Port settled down and before the end of the first Ron Brown put it over the goalies shoul- der with the assists going to Jim Abraham and Karl Durham. The 'second period was very rough and physical with both teams having to spend too much time in the penalty box. The Port team was really fired up to start the third period and came out hot. They kept it in the opposing end most of the period. Steve Solomon then gave it to Willie Edwards in the slot who had no trouble in putting it in the net. Mike Gibson had started the play and also got an assist. Port managed to play a very cool game even after being antagonized by the opposition endlessly. Jim Abraham then put the game away on a nice pass from Ron Brown and Karl Durham. Kevin Cearns played a fabulous game in the Port net. He had a lot of help from the defence who all played well. Port's next home game is Friday night at 9:00 when they host the Little Britain team. Come out and support the Realtors who have only lost one home game all year. _ For the Best Deals on New see WILLIAMSON MOTOR SALES Uxbridge 852-3357 Thinking of Leasing? Give us a Try! Going. .into.. the..final 15 - minutes, the teams were deadlocked at 2-2. Mike Campbell set up Mike Horne in front of the net 34 seconds into the period - to start the route. Campbell was behind the Bronco's goal when he found his linemate unmolested in front of goalie Peter Christie, who had a tough third period. Up front, the Jones broth- ers, Alan and Russell, and Grant Vizely have been one reason for Coach Bill Bridge to smile. Shawn Bryan has also shown well in spurts. It was Bryan who scored Port's first goal, on a deke 4:20 into the first period and it marked the only-time Port Perry held a scoreboard Ken Elliott counted the assist.
