Epsom-Utica Social Club is holding an evening of skating and cards on Satur- day, Feb. 28. Those wishing to skate will meet at Uxbridge Arena from 8 to 10 p.m. and then join those who meet at Epsom Church for cards etc. Hosts for the evening are Mr. and Mrs. Ron Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Anderson. LUCILLE BAKER The family and friends of Margaret Lucille Baker were saddened to learn of her death on Tuesday, Dec. 16th, 1980 at her home in Sunderland. She was born on June 12, 1899, in Port Perry, the daughter of Dr. Robert Archer and Amelia Herod. She attended school in Port Perry and later St. Margar- ets College, Toronto. Married on July 2, 1919, to Herbert P. Baker when they farmed till 1950 and then moved to the village. She was the loving mother of Robert and Jean, both of Sunderland, dear sister of Harold of Port Bolster, dear- ly remembered by four grandchildren Jane, John, Peter, and Paul. She attended the Presby- terian Church in Port Perry -- OBITUARY -- and Sunderland and when Union came attended the United Church. She was interested in the Womens Institute work as well as the church organizations, an original member of the Uxbridge Horticulture Society, also an original member of the Louise Patt- erson Handicraft Guild, Port Perry. During recent years, she had many continuing illness- es but remained cheerful and steadfast throughout. The complete funeral service was held on Dec. 18th, at 2 p.m. from the Thorne Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Jones conducted the service.
