Congratulations to our "Master"- Mrs. Emma Malcolm of Uxbridge who observed her 87th birthday - on February 26th. This was the week of Marketing Board Seminars. It was our pleasure to be one of the representatives of U.C.0. at the two-day Marketing Board Seminar at the Holiday Inn, Cambridge on Monday and Tuesday February 23 and 24th. Almost every Marketing Board in Ontario was represented at this Seminar. On Wednesday the action shifted to London Ontario where approximately 300 farmers other and interested persons attended the 1981 Co-operative Grain Market Conference "A Road Map for the Future." An informative day was spent in hearing various marketing experts expound their theories and "discuss the prospects of the future. Hon. Eugene Whelan provided a fitting finale for the meeting. We are pleased to welcome a further addition to our family tree with the newest twig (or twigette as the case should be). We refer to the first grandchild (gran- daughter) of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph. Malcolm to their daughter Cindy and hubby Cos De Giuste a baby daughter Catherine Ruth on February 27, 1981. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pusso of Yelverton visited the latest addition on Saturday and report all is well. Congrat- ulations to all concerned on the happy occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Gundry of Barrie were last weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Terry Malcolm and family to attend a joint birthday party for Brenda and Todd. Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Dave Robinson and Tanya were week visitors with the Balfour Moores. Mr. and Mrs. Oram Moore and family were Sunday callers on Mr. Clifford Sidman in Oshawa. Mr. Baxter said that in years gone by there had been a couple of informal surveys carried out to determine if there would be support for a school, but they never went beyond that stage. If the Board gives its approval March 17 as Mr. Baxter expects, he says there are plans to hold an information night for parents some time in May which will give them an opportunity to discuss the matter fully with teachers, consultants and Separate School Board Administration staff.
