Last 'week Marilyn Beacock had a short unexpected stay in Port Perry Hospital. Marilyn is recuperating at home now. We hope you are feeling much better Marilyn. Soccer registration will be held at the Port Perry Scout Hall on April 4th and 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be soccer films and coffee. Last Saturday our cubs from Seagrave participated in the annual Cub Car Rally. Here are the winners: For design 1st place Jeff Anfty, 2nd Derek Dykeman and 3rd Scott Spencer, the runner up was Ian Smith. Speed: 1st place Jeff Tait - (Peck trophy), 2nd Shane Branton and 3rd Kevin Puckrin, the runner up was Jamie Hillis. Cub Oriented - Car - Blair Beacock. Cub, 'Paint Job : Derek Dykeman. On Saturday these boys returned to participate in the Pineridge District Rally. Seagrave made a good . showing. Jeff Anfty won 2nd place for design. Shane Branton won '2nd place for speed and Kevin Puckrin won 5th place for speed. The boys will be going to the Lakeland Region Rally in Pickering on April 11th. The, leaders are very proud of all' the boys. I had the pleasure of being one of the judges (along with Gertie Wanamaker and Joyce Abraham) of the Brownie Baking Competition -at the Church on Saturday. - While we all enjoyed this task, I must say it was very difficult to choose a winner among all of the delicious entries. Congratulations to all of the lucky winners. Bw Durward, Sylvia Durward, Amy Lyn Wanamaker, Tara Lyn Puckrin, Christine Mueller, Emily Smith, Lisa Jansen, Colleen Yorke, Michelle McAskill and Lisa Cameron will now be participating in the District Baking "Competition in Greenbank on April 11th, The leaders are proud of all the Brownies who took part in this event. A special thank you to Ron King who helped the Brownies to raise money for their Pack by auctioning off all of the delicious baked: items. You were terrific, Ron! Brownies and Beavers are reminded that their banquet is to be held on Saturday night at the Church and that all money should be in to the Group Leaders before Thursday, April 2nd. Sunday evenings' musical presentation at Seagrave Church proved to be very successful.
