The funeral was Monday afternoon from Towns Funeral Home in Whitby. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lehman have returned to their home after an enjoyable holiday in Hawaii. Mr. and Mrs. David Humphrey of Deep River spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Humphrey and family. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Ian Hamilton formerly - of Uxbridge. They will be building their home this summer in the west end. of the village. Miss Hilda Hopkins 'and Mr. Walter Hopkins visited recently with Mrs. Alma English of Woodville. Mrs. Ruth Purdy of Mono Centre spent a few days this week with the Ashton family and visting Mr. Gordon Stuttaford of Port Perry. Mr. Herb Ashton returned with her for a visit. Reverend and Mrs. Ken Heron of Bracebridge visited with their parents Mr. and Mrs. E. Heron over the Easter weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith of Blackstock visited one- Sunday with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Richardson. Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Death spent the Easter weekend with their son's family, Mr.. and Mrs. Tim Death and girls of Ottawa. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Fisher visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mitchell at Deep River. Sor The santuary of Burns Church was beautifully decorated with Easter Lillies and Hydrangeas on Sunday morning. The junior and senior choirs. both sang Easter anthems. Reverend McEntyre had a good message taken from St. Lukes Gospel entitled "Jesus Comes Back." Next Sunday will be commemoration Sunday. Mrs. John Geddes of Tawain will be present at church school and the church service, also for the morning service will be Miss Doreen Seagrave by Jackie Boyle Special music provided by the Senior Choir, the Junior choir and guest soloist Mr. Ron King added a very - special touch to the Easter service. The bouquets of flowers in the sanctuary were placed in loving mem- ory of Mr. Bruce Kellington. One of the lilies was provided by the UCW and the other by - Mrs. MacNeil, in loving memory of her husband Eustace. Many happy re- turns to Mrs. Eleanor Sturman, Mrs. MacNeil, and Mr. Bill Keen who celebra- ted birthdays recently. Rev. Roundell performed a service of dedication for the new organ, new choir gowns, and to remember those who had contributed to the pre- vious organ. Friday night guests with, Fern and John Tobin were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bridger of Bowmanville and Mrs. Violet Moon of Oshawa. Easter dinner guests at the news Morrison from India. In the evening Mr. John Geddes will be joining them for a presentation and they will showing pictures and telling 'about their lives on mission field. Everyone is cordially welcome.
