Back in Pickering the fol- lowing Monday, June 15 the Mojacks romped to a 18-2 win after 6 innings. In the two games against Pickering Bobby Orr had 5 singles, Jeff Cockerton and Craig Menzies had 3 singles; Karl Durham had 2 singles; Jim White, John Moore, David Culbert each had 1. single. Travis Adamereyk had a single and a double. Lee Wilbur had 3 singles and a triple; Dave Burnett had 3 singles and a double. Greg Warriner a big night with 2 home runs Rack to back and a single. Jeff Cockerton had 13 strike. outs in the 2 games against Pick- ering. Well done Jeff! On Thursday, June 18 we went to Uxbridge. How we can beat them so badly at home and come away from there with only a tie is a mystery! Uxbridge lead 1-0 until the top of the 4th inning Lee Wilbur got on base with an error to the fielder. Karl Durham had a single to earn the R.BI. Uxbridge scored again in the bottom of the 4th to make things tense. In the top of the 6th Dave Burnett was walked, Lee Wilbur singled. Bobby Orr laid 'down a good sacrifice bunt to advance the runner Steve Solomon singled to earn the RBI and tie the game at 2. Dave Burnett pitched a good game for Port having 6 strike outs. The Mojack play their home games Monday nights at the old diamond, come out and cheer on these young men. Ladies host for Uxbridge golfers by Mary Correll On- Tuesday, June 16 the Ladies League of Foxhead Golf Club, Uxbridge were guests of our Summerlea Ladies at a 9-hole tourna- ment and luncheon. There were 61 present, the weather was hot and sunny, the course was in its usual excel- lent condition and a good time was had by all. Prizes were awarded as follows: Low Gross- 1st Blanche Gibbons - 35; 2nd Lucy Wilson - 39 with a birdie and chip-in; 3rd Josie Wilson -39. Low Net -1st Jean Perry; 2nd Doreen Lak; 3rd Marg. Moore. Fewest Putts - Gerda Ostertag; Longest drive - Audrey Cain; Longest putt - Betty St. John; Shortest drive- Vera Oddie; Most putts- Bev. Brown; Low score on hidden hole - Carla Feir; High score on hidden hole - Beth Martyn. The pot of gold worth $15.25 was won by Betty Power. Door prizes were beautiful bouquets of giant Iris, grown and donated by Noreen Leahy.
