The week contained such activities as Arts and Crafts by Patty Gettens, Drama by Ed Canning. Songs and games by Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Morton, and last but not the least First Aid by Ron Heard. Also Judy McColl did a very special job in teaching the girls the correct and most interesting way to read children story books. The lifeguards at Birdseye Pool provided the staff with a full session on pool safety, and fun. All the playgrounds will be making a weekly visit to the pool for a cool and 'refreshing dip. Roller skating has been scheduled for the older children on a weekly basis. The staff learned many helpful things and are ready to provide a fun-filled session of playground to the Town- ship of Scugog. Registration day for play- to right front are: Dawn Abraham, Sandra Heayn, Heather McDougall, Terri Healey, Jodi Timgren, Susan Witteveen, Kathy Irvine, Tracy Bongard [co-ordinator] Carol Lane and Joanne Kemp. At back are Todd Blayone, Suzanne Doupe, Teresa Goreski, Kevin Harris and Vanessa Lewerentz. Scugog Township Summer Playground activities are just about ready to get underway and leaders have completed orientation and training. There will be four playgrounds this year in Port Perry, Prince Albert, Blackstock and Scugog Island. The leaders from left ground wii be held at the various locations at 9:00 a.m. on July 6, and lunch hour supervision will be provided. So come on out and have lots of fun in the sun.
