Mrs. Valerie Sweetman of Port Perry Kawartha Region The Kawartha Region Conservation Authority will receive $53,750 in provincial grants in 1981, to assist in commencing a land acquis- - ition program, Natural Resources Minister Alan W. Pope announced recently. The grant will be used to acquire shoreline property on Sturgeon Lake in the Township of Fenelon, north of Lindsay. The 245 acres of land to be $200,000 'receives grant acquired includes: frontage on McLaren's Creek and Goose Bay. The property which includes marshland, wood- lands and' open meadows, provides good habitat for fish and wildlife. The area also has the potential to serve as a conservation area with various recreation possibilities ayailable.
